Everyone always asks me about cameras which surprises me because I know nothing about them except how I’m supposed to look through that hole in mine and press the shiny silver button on the top and then wait for the magic to happen.

Since buying my Nikon D40 earlier this year, I’ve had to take a crash course in digital photography. This mostly included chatting with other D40 users on forums, reading articles, and doing tons and tons of searching. So I thought I would share all the resources I refer to on a regular basis if I have any questions or need help with anything.

Ken’s site is AWESOME. And I mean that. The all-caps does it no justice. He’s an enthusiastic Nikon user and reviews just about every Nikon product he can get his hands on in addition to other brands. He also offers an excellent D40 User’s guide. And please, if you use it, show your support. We’d like to keep great content such as Ken’s site around for a long time.

Another really good resource for learning digital photography especially on a Nikon camera.

Flickr is a great social network for photographers an amateurs alike. Post and organize photos, even order prints and other memorabilia through Flickr.

D40 Club on Flickr

This is a Flickr group dedicated specifically to D40 users. Great place to chat with other D40 users and view other photographs taken with a D40.
