Yeah I'm totally hooked on this book now! You're right--she definitely has a good grasp on history, and I love her writing style. I watched The Other Boleyn Girl, but haven't read the book although now that I'm reading this one, that one is going on my list.

I've read The Other Boleyn girl, and enjoyed it enough to definitely put some of her others on the list. I think she has a good grasp on history, with some fun fiction thrown in. I think you'll like her style.

Oh yeah, grass fed is a splurge for me lol but I do try to eat it when I can. I even notice a difference in taste and quality when it comes to grass fed meat. And yeah I agree--nutrition plan is the way to go!

Just a little at a time. And really, I will even go as far to say that as long as you're having the right kind of meat (grass-fed), then you are probably okay with having a little more. Most meat out there has an incorrect balance of Omegas, and therefore our bodies cannot handle them, helping us with all the issues we have, like weight gain, clogged arteries, even some allergy issues (I bet people who are allergic to some grains might still wonder why their allergies are bad since they've cut that out, except for the fact that the cows are eating it!). Of course, grass-fed is a little more expensive, so, therefore, you are forced to get smaller amounts! *LOL*

But, really, little by little is what it takes. I too am trying to take the approach that this is not a diet, it's a nutrition plan. It's the way I SHOULD eat, as a means to nourish my body, not treat my taste buds. It's a difficult journey, but one I think everyone can do.

Becky--Yes!! 3 OZ.!! I own a digital food scale and I've actually started measuring out my proteins that way and man it's an eye opener. Doing that and actually using measuring cups and spoons to portion out food is a learning experience as well. Some may think it's overkill, but when I see how much I'm supposed to eat vs. how much I've actually been eating, it's evident why I'm at the weight I am. I just need to retrain my brain about correct portion sizes.

Crystal--Hey, it's all about baby steps right? :) And yes, day by day!

Keep it up!! I too am trying to ward off the evil voices that are telling me that I need to put something bad in my tummy. It wasn't the best day, I ended up eating a couple pieces of pizza and had a bowl of fruit loops tonight. I tell myself it could have been worse. Day by day. Good luck tomorrow!

lol ugh I know what you mean!! LoseIt (loseit.com) is my weight/food/exercise tracking app of choice. There are others though--Jenn mentioned myfitnesspal.com. There are other places like Sparkpeople.com which is good if you want a community to join, but I didn't like it after a while because of all the advertising, slow load, and general spamminess of the site.

I also have an app for yoga called Yoga Relax and an app for pilates. I use those occasionally.

I'm really curious about the Nike+ system though. And FitBit (fitbit.com) which connects with LoseIt.
