Last week I broke my portable 12″ Fiskars trimmer. I was in the middle of a project when my elbow knocked it off the edge of my desk and broke the stabilizer bar. Even though I’ve always wanted to find a better replacement I swear I didn’t do this on purpose!

So now I’m on the market for a new trimmer. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about Tonic Studios trimmers, especially 12″ Paper Trimmer – Small Base:

The other trimmer I’ve been considering is the Tonic Super Slide Trimmer:

I’ve never seen one in person though so I don’t exactly know how “portable” it is which is why I’m hesitant to get it. I do like the fact that it has dual swinging arms for more stability. And it’s a little cheaper than the guillotine but I think it only cuts one or 2 sheets of paper at a time.

If anyone has any input or suggestions, I’m open. I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting one soon seeing as how as of right now I don’t have a portable 12″ trimmer.
