Clever Ribbon Storage Idea

Ribbon StorageNichole Heady over at Capture the Moment posted a great tutorial on how she organizes her ribbons using classic wooden dollhead clothespin. You can find these clothespins at any hobby or craft store such as Hobby Lobby or Michael’s in the wood craft section. I bought a package of 30 from Hobby Lobby for $2.99. In fact, I think you can find them on sale this week (Feb. 3-9) for 30% off. Highly recommended if you’re in need of some storage ideas for ribbon spools.

The Ribbon Retreat Grosgrain and SU Ribbon Match-Up Chart

SplitCoastStamper member OCDStamper posted a great thread on The Ribbon Retreat’s solid grosgrain ribbon and their Stampin’ Up Ribbon almost-identical twin. Just note, some colors may be only slightly off, but they’re very close to the SU originals!

Cowtown Stamps Acrylic Starter Kit

acrylic starter kitFor anyone interested in unmounting their rubber stamps, Cowtown Stamps offers an inexpensive kit to help you get started. It includes 2 acrylic blocks (2×2″ and 4×4″), 2 vinyl cling sheets (approximately 8×10″), half a roll of cushion (about 6×13″), and 4 free stamps (randomly chosen by Cowtown) to try out. What makes this a great starter kit is they actually give you the rubber stamps to test on (rather than ruining your own!).
