Spring Has Sprung

I never thought I would actually look forward to warmer weather, but here it is 🙂

Last fall I planted some tulips and so far this is the only one out of the five that’s sprouted. An interesting note about this photo: while I was shooting, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I turned and saw a squirrel had stopped halfway up my stairs. He stared at me, not moving, and just as I aimed my camera in his direction, he turned and sprinted down the stairs and into the woods. It would’ve been a great shot!

Here’s the digital layout I created using the photo above. I hate to admit this but I think I’m really liking digital scrapbooking 🙂

Emma digital kit from Jen Martakis Designs

  1. I LOVE what you did in the photo on your LO. I think I may have to steal, er, borrow that idea. ^_^

I <3 digital scrapbooking! Especially if you find templates, it's SO easy peasy to whip a page together. (As long as you have all your files in one place and your computer isn't running out of space, that is! )

  2. I LOVE your shop skillz! I have been seriously debating over digital scrapbooking. Seems when I was a strictly 35mm kinda gal, I took my photos in for prints and scrapbooked them the following weekend. With all my pics now being digital, serious dust has collected on my scrapbook supplies.

Wish there was a place where you could get these printed in standard scrapbook page sizes because I tell yeah, I’d be all over it.

  3. Thanks Manda!! 🙂 I have to admit, I didn’t have any interest in it at first, but yeah it does eliminate an extra step in the process since most photos taken these days are digital. AND yes, you can totally get your pages printed out 12 x 12 if you want. Scrapbookpictures.com prints 12 x 12 I think even Costco and Sam’s offer printing that size as well.

  4. Just wanted to plug scrapbookpictures.com.

I love the quality of their prints. Really! Although, I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried too many other places. (I will, however, say I have not actually gotten scrapbook pages printed out with them, so don’t know how they package those 12×12 pages to ensure corners don’t get smashed or wrinkled.)

I have a friend on a scrap site that recently recommended pagestotreasure.com (the only thing I see right now that might be a problem, is you have to have a minimum order).

  5. Yeah I totally agree. I love scrapbookpictures.com. I’ve used them a couple times already and the quality of their prints is SO much better than other places I’ve been too. I haven’t printed anything 12×12 yet but I’m pretty sure I will be soon 🙂
