Gift Card Holder Tutorial
UPDATED: Watch the video tutorial here!
I’ve been getting a lot of requests for a tutorial on how to make the gift card holders I showed last year, so here it is! It’s pretty simple and feel free to take creative license with the instructions here.
- Supplies
- 1 Base Cardstock – 4.25 x 5.5″
- 1 Patterned Paper – 4 x 5.25″
- 1 Bazzill library pocket (I think this line has been discontinued, but you can find templates at your favorite scrapbook store. Coluzzle makes one that you can buy here.)
- 1 White cardstock – 3 x 5″
- Assorted stamped images and embellishments
- Assemble the library pocket and the card holder
Using your favorite adhesive, attach the patterned paper to the base card stock. If you are making the library pocket from scratch, assemble it and adhere it to the base card. Otherwise, adhere your pre-made library pocket to the base card. Set aside. Punch the white 3 x 5″ card with a size 3/16 hole and tie your favorite ribbon through it. Using a removable adhesive, adhere the gift card to the white card stock. Set aside.
- Embellish the Library Pocket
Embellish the library pocket with your favorite stamped images and ribbons. You can personalize this gift card holder any way you want! Warning About Brads and Eyelets: Don’t attach brads or eyelets to an assembled library pocket or else you’ll end up with a gift card holder you can’t put a gift card in!
- Put the assembled gift card inside the gift card holder and you’re done!

Awesome and thank you!
