U Are Adorable

Hello. My name is Kristine, and I’ve been slacking on my scrapbooking.

Yes, you’re seeing correctly. Here it is nearing April and I’ve just finished a layout for a photo I took in February.

Yesterday I spent the day scrapbooking with my friends. Actually, they scrapbooked, I just worked on a couple small projects I’ve been wanting to finish.

I think just being around that creativity and being in that store, browsing the papers and embellishments, was enough inspiration to get me to finish this layout.

I’ve signed up for National Scrapbook Day over at Personal Scrapbook on May 2. I think by then I should have taken enough photos to be able to do some scrapbooking :)

Meet My New Best Friend: The Scor-Pal

A week ago I purchased a Scor-Pal from 7kidscollegefund.com. BTW, if you’re looking for scrapbook supplies at a decent price, they are fantastic and their customer service is excellent. I originally selected 3-day express on my order, but they emailed me and said ground express would be just as fast AND cheaper since it’s travelling from Arizona to Texas, so they lessened my shipping choice and refunded the difference in a gift certificate :)

So anyway, for the longest time, the Scor-Pal was still sitting in its package on my desk. I finally opened it and used it on the last card I made. PERFECT SCORE.

You can even score textures and make small gift boxes. Visit their website for tutorials.

Color Inspiration Challenge #47

Color Inspiration Challenge #47, originally uploaded by krisalis903.

It’s been several weeks since I participated in one of these. I was determined not to slack off this week!

Anyway, I had to find a suitable stand-in for the color Tangerine Tango so I used this orange-peachy ribbon I had in my collection.

I also decided to break out the embossing gun for this one. Yeah, definitely had to blow the dust off that one. I still have quite a few jars of embossing powder in my drawer which I’m glad I decided to keep. It definitely came in handy with this card.

Operation Space Maximizer Status: Almost Complete

A little over a year ago, I began the process of transferring all of my stamp sets over to the EZ-Mount system. I’m happy to say that the endeavor is almost complete. I’ve converted almost all of my stamp sets over to this sleek and streamlined system, with the exception of a few sets which I might sell.

I bought this wooden CD tower for $10 at IKEA a couple months ago. It came predrilled with holes in the back so it could be mounted to a wall. I’ve got that one almost completely full, now I have to get a second one to accomodate my growing collection.

Pretty soon I’ll be growing out of my designated square footage. Whatever will I do?

Finished Button Jars

Here are my finished button jars. I love how they turned out. Originally I was just going to write the names of the colors on the labels but I figured using flowers and buttons of that color would be enough :)
