I really love the Shakeit Photo app for the iPhone. It basically takes photos that look like traditional Polaroids (which I miss). I took this photo with that app. It was framed perfectly on accident–I intended on photographing the coffee mug but I didn’t realize I also photographed the menu right next to it also.

Finding Your Creativity

Ok, so I’m feeling a little creatively down and out these days. I’ve bought a lot of stuff over the last 3 or 4 months and suddenly it’s like I don’t know what to do with everything.

What do you like to do when you’re creative well has run dry? How do you get out of it? Or do you just let it run its course until you become inspired again?

Jabari’s Birthday at Paciugo Layout

Yay! I did yet another layout within a reasonable amount of time. I even showed it to the birthday boy and he really liked it so he gave it his stamp of approval. I kinda regret outlining those Thickers though :( They look good outlined when they’re on a light background, but on a background like that, I think they should’ve just stayed solid white. Debating whether or not I want to scrap them and apply new ones but I think for now I’ll keep them as is.

I’m really digging on these Anna Griffin journaling cards I bought from Hobby Lobby during that sale a couple weeks ago. Actually, I’m digging on journaling cards in general so I’ll have to hunt some more down next shopping trip :)

My Own Personal Cookbook

I’m doing some crafty stuff today. I’ve missed it honestly. The last couple months have been so crazy that I haven’t really felt like sitting down to do much. Now that I can relax though, I’ve been able to sit down and do some creative stuff at my craft table.

A few months ago, a friend of mine gave me an idea for this scrapbook. Not long after that, Peachycheap was selling these recipe scrapbook kits from American Crafts at dirt cheap prices. I think it was fate so of course I snatched up a couple.

Each kit came complete with a customizable 6×6 album, dividers, 10 sheet protectors, 10 ready-to-use pages, a book of cook’s rubons, as well as sticker alphas in both black and white. How could I pass up a deal like that? My sister gave me the Basic Grey book plates that I used on the front cover.

Supplies: American Crafts 6×6″ Modern D-Ring Album, American Crafts 6×6″ Sheet protectors.

Dinner and a Sunset

I took this photo a couple weeks ago on a Friday night after a painful day at work. Honestly I was just ready to go home. I knew the only thing that would wash away the pain would be a great dinner on Mena’s patio and a delicious margarita.

I think I’m definitely going on a stash diet though. I’ve acquired way too much stuff for my own good. However, all of the stuff I used in this layout is new (with the exception of the kraft paper). I’ll be using a lot of new things over the next few weeks. The only thing I’ll be buying while on this stash diet adhesive!
