Izzie and I were in a car accident tonight. We are doing well. My back is sore but the doctor prescribed some pain medicine and muscle relaxers.
I wish I had pictures of the wreck. It was terrible. I was slowing down for the guy in front of me, but the guy behind me didn’t. He probably hit me at like at 50 or 60 miles per hour which then caused my car to veer off the shoulder, and flip a few times before landing right side up.
The driver’s side door was completely smashed in. Both driver’s side and passenger side windows shattered. Windshield was shattered. I’m not sure what the back looked like.
She and I are both good cases for advocating safety belts since not only was I strapped in, but she was strapped in too. She’s ok, just a little shaken up.
I’ll write something more in depth later. But for now, I’m going to take a shower and head off to bed. Yay for pain medicine and muscle relaxers.

Kristine please don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything. I’m not far and can be there to help if needed. I will be keeping you in my thoughts I know that car accidents can be rough.
Well. muscle relaxers really are fantastic. But its amazing that you didn’t break anything. My taco would have surely died because I am a bad mommy and he would not have been strapped in.
I’m glad that you were OK. When something like that happens to you and you only come out of it with scratches and a sore back, you definitely know that you are being taken care of.
The car is an item but the life of you and Izzie are precious.
You don’t know how we freaked out when we heard you on the answering machine…and having to ride in the car with dad when we were on our way to pick you up. I think that’s the fastest I’ve seen him drive…he was even peeling out a couple of times…heh
I am so thankful you and Izzy are ok. Let me know if you need anything.
I’m so relieved that you and Izzy are okay, and that everyone else involved are okay, too.
You know that Juan and I will do anything for you in our power. Just give me a jingle
Jeez LAweez!
I am so glad that y’all are okay!
Get the photos that your ins. adjuster will have taken–then send them in to the company that makes Izzy’s seatbelt (if it was a pet-belt, I guess).
What a story to advocate seatbelts for all!
((Hug)) hope you feel well enough to be there for SASSY cropping on Saturday, Kristine!

Oh my! I just saw this – belated hugs! So glad you’re both ok!
